For the Fourth Time in His Career, Brennan Newberry Travels to the Lone Star State with NTS Motorsports and Crew Chief Ryan McKinney. The Winstar World Casino and Resort 350k will mark the 42nd start of the Bakersfield, California native’s career and his 12th of 2014 with NTS Motorsports. Newberry will carry a No.20 on the doors of his pink Qore-24 Antimicrobial Hand Purifier Chevrolet Silverado and will once again be driving to raise awareness for Breast Cancer survivors. Newberry piloted the same scheme on the No.9 Chevrolet at Martinsville Speedway during the most recent event for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Newberry Knowledge Going into Texas: “In June, we had a very fast truck at Texas and had positioned ourselves for a great finish inside the top-5 before we cut a tire late in the race. Ryan (McKinney) and everyone on my Qore-24 Chevrolet Silverado team have been working hard in the shop, to make sure we can capitalize on our speed again this time. With only three more events left in 2014, for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, I am looking forward to each and every one of them as I know we can compete for the win! We will be carrying the Pink Qore-24 colors for Breast Cancer Awareness once again this weekend and I will be representing our NTS Motorsports survivors during each and every lap, and to get them and everyone at NTS Motorsports into victory lane would be a dream come true for me.
Crew Chief Ryan McKinney will be atop of the Pit Box for the No.20 Team, Marking his 16th Start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and his 8th Pairing with Newberry in 2014. On June 6th of this year, McKinney and Newberry teamed up for the first time in NCWTS competition and had their Silverado running inside the top-5, before a cut tire late in the race, relegated the team to a 16th place finish. McKinney considers Texas Motor Speedway one of his favorite tracks and looks to capitalize on the speed the team has shown throughout the year.
R-Mac on His Favorite Track: “Throughout 2014, the Qore-24 team has shown strength and speed each and every weekend and I couldn’t be more proud of my guys. Texas was the first race for Brennan and I back in June, and we were poised for a solid finish inside the top-5, before we cut a tire late in the race and had to pit during the closing laps. We are taking the same setup with us to Texas and I know we are going to be one of the teams to watch. Texas is one of my favorite places to race and I know we have a great chance to bring home some Stetsons for all the guys in Kernersville. Brennan Newberry and NTS Motorsports are definitely due for a win!”
On Track Activity at Texas Motor Speedway will begin with dual back-to-back practice sessions on Thursday beginning at 1p.m. and 2:30p.m. Action will resume on Friday with Knockout Qualifying at 2:15 and the drop of the green flag for The WinStar World Casino and Resort is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday’s complete on track schedule will be aired LIVE on Fox Sports 1, The Motor Racing Network (MRN), and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio – Channel 90.
