During the next to last weekend on the 2014 NASCAR schedule, Newberry will compete in both the Lucas Oil 150 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and  the DAV 200 – Honoring America’s Veterans event in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. In addition to piloting the No. 9 Silverado this weekend, Newberry will climb in the driver’s seat of the No.77 Qore-24 Chevrolet prepared by SS-Green Light Racing. Newberry has one prior start at the Avondale, Arizona track in NCWTS competition and five starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW). In his most recent start at the one-mile track, Newberry fought for the lead in the closing laps of the 2014 NKNPSW season opener and brought home a runner-up finish.

Newberry Excited for A Shoot Out in the Wild West: “When asked what my favorite track on the Camping World Truck Series schedule is, my answer is always the same, Phoenix International Raceway. I am not sure if it is the five different corners or the fact that I got my first NASCAR pole there in 2010 during my NKNPSW days, but whatever it is, I cannot contain my excitement any longer. Ryan McKinney and my entire No.9 Chevy Silverado team are ready to go to war. We have two bullets left in the chamber for the season, and we are eager to pull the trigger on the Lucas Oil 150.”

Crew Chief Ryan McKinney Locked and Loaded for Phoenix: “Our Chevrolet looks great and I am confident it will run even better. We have had success in this scheme throughout the year, so hopefully it is a bit of a good luck charm for us. We finished strong and overcame a lot during our weekend in Texas and now it’s time to head west once again. With the support of Bob Newberry, Qore-24,, and everyone at NTS Motorsports, I know we can close the season on top.”
